On the 26th of November, the Policy Futures International Webinar Series hosted an intriguing presentation on the performativity of quantitative data of education policy by Ezekiel Jr. Dixon-Roman.
Drawing on his cultural theoretical interventions on the racializing forces of/in quantification, Dixon-Roman introduced a gripping discussion on the role and effects of data in education policy. The discussion was continued and complemented by the Assistant Professors, Miriam Madsen from Aarhus University, and Mathias Decuypere from the faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences, KU Leuven. The event was chaired by the program director and Associate Professor, Katja Brøgger from Aarhus University.
