The Play Research Unit at the Danish School of Education, Aarhus University, invites all international and national scholars, researchers, practitioners, and stakeholders with an interest in educational play and playfulness for an open workshop-based symposium.
Play and playfulness are attracting increased interest across education with a growing number of researchers, developers and practitioners engaging in playful pedagogies and curriculum. This webinar aims to explore the conceptualizations, implications and applications - the potentials and challenges - of play and playfulness for educational purposes from kindergarten to higher education. This is approached through three themes, six distinct voices, and subsequent group discussion amongst all participants.
Program:
- Welcome & Introduction, Chair: Savhannah Schulz
- Theme 1: Deep Play - What is deeply meaningful play across the educational system? Rikke Toft Nørgård & Katrin Heimann
