The Director for International Affairs at The Danish School of Education is awarded Doctor Honoris Causa in Vietnam
The Vietnam Institute of Educational Sciences awarded Mr. Arne Carlsen the Doctor Honoris Causa at a ceremony on Friday, 30th October, on the occasion of the Asia-Europe Conference, entitled "Creating Opportunities and Removing Obstacles for Lifelong Learning" in Nha Trang city, Vietnam.
The Institute is Vietnam's largest educational research environment, with 400 researchers, as well as masters and PhD programmes. The Academic Committee at the Institute acknowledged that Mr. Arne Carlsen has initiated a new area for Vietnamese educational research with in-depth studies in lifelong learning. The Institute has subsequently decided to establish a new department for research in lifelong learning.
