This will serve as an introduction to postphenomenological and cultural historical thinking. We will review some of the key concepts and figures from the philosophical tradition of phenomenology and cultural historical theory, and consider the connections and divergences of the contemporary school of thought called "postphenomenology" and cultural historical theory. After covering many of the main ideas of postphenomenology, we will explore some of the connections that have been made between these theories and others, and which new connections might be possible.
