My research is situated within critical disability studies and anthropology, recently focused on ethical and moral issues related to `special needs´ and (dis)ability in educational, societal and familial contexts as well as in research. In recent years I have studied social and cultural aspects related to diagnosed children, their families and professionals. Especially I am interested in children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, ASD, and the consequences of everyday interpretations of what it means to be autistic.
