More and more students are seeking opportunities to study in other countries. In 2013, 4.3 million students were on the move - numbers unprecedented in human history. Students’ motives are to gain international perspectives, train for global citizenship, and prepare for future global leadership. Besides these scholarly reasons, there are commercialization, immigration and economic recovery. Using China as a case, the lecture will explain how these issues are connected with student mobility.
