What can we learn from classroom research? Based on a review of studies of communication in the mathematics classroom, the session aims at discussing the relationships between basic principles of theoretical perspectives, methodologies, research questions, and outcomes. We will look at data excerpts and analyse these from different theoretical perspectives.
