This seminar will focus on the analyses of various areas of educational research and its intersection with public policies regarding adult learning and education in the continent. The potential impact of research in decision making and the development of educational policies in the field will be examined with the intention of pointing out some limitations and other -more powerful- influences. An outline of the impact of research depending on the context and public policies will be presented along with recommendations for improved impacts.
